“Elchin Shirinov is a jazz pianist, composer, and arranger from Azerbaijan. In the December 2022 “All About Jazz” poll, he was ranked among the world’s top 200 living pianists. Touring with renowned jazz double bassist Avishai Cohen’s trio from 2018 to 2022, he recorded 3 albums as part of the trio and his own two albums “Maiden Tower” and “Waiting”. He went on international tours as a trio and solo artist and performed at venues including Blue Note New York, Blue Note Tokyo, Ronnie Scott’s, Jazz a Vienne, Berlin Philharmonie concert hall, and more. Elchin is a passionate and thoughtful musician who explores and creates a unique symbiosis of ethnic folk music with a fresh touch of jazz, influenced by musicians like Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, and Brad Mehldau. Elchin will perform with Ofri Nehemya on drums and Haggai Cohen-Milo on double bass.”
